Our Team.

Our team is closely knitted with the EMPOWHER network of youth and young adults. This helps us to ensure the needs and appropriate support is available to each of them. Some of the success of the work to note are our programs. The I Can Build a Computer Youth Workshop is a program where students learn how to build a computer and build their confidence. Another is the DFC Mentoring program that provides a space for real conversations and honest support. In addition to these programs are our scholarships; Just For You scholarship for personal expenses while away at college (i.e. food, transportation, prescriptions, toiletries) and the Loren Dorothy Jones scholarship for driving school fees. Our staff accepts and reviews applications and notify the recipients of their award. They also assist with college applications, resume writing, identifying internships and volunteer opportunities that align with each young woman's individual goals.
